The ring band is made using 100% recycled sterling silver, which has been textured so it catches the light. The wave is made using gold-filled wire. This is 14ct gold that has been bonded with a base metal, in this case brass. It has a much higher gold alloy content than gold plate, so is far more durable and can last a lifetime. It is also much more affordable. 
 
The ring is adjustable, so can be gently pulled apart of squeezed to fit.
